It has been said so as Australian researchers have come up with a blood test that is said to simplify the procedure. Lead researcher Dr. Jason Tye-Din from the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute in Melbourne has explained that the test result will there in just 24 hours.
Moreover, there will be no requirement of taking out tissue samples from patients' intestines. A pilot study for the test has also been carried out which included 48 people.
After carrying out the pilot study, it has been found that patients can get to know about the results just after three days of having gluten. The study has been published in the journal Clinical & Experimental Immunology.
Dr. Tye-Din said it will take many years before the test is formally introduced in the market. Coeliac disease is said to take place when gluten does not suit to a person and it causes damage to small intestine. Some of the symptoms include nausea, vomiting, bloating and diarrhoea.
