Intel unveils ‘Powered by Intel Cloud Technology’ programme

Intel unveils ‘Powered by Intel Cloud Technology’ programme

Intel unveils ‘Powered by Intel Cloud Technology’ programmeChip giant Intel has recently unveiled the `Powered by Intel Cloud Technology' programme --- an initiative for which the company has partnered with 16 cloud service providers (CSPs) across the world; with the aim of improving customer experience and value, along with enhancing the company's cloud service capabilities.
The `Powered by Intel Cloud Technology' initiative has been launched by Intel in an evident attempt to strengthen its presence in the cloud service arena.  According to Intel's claims, the programme will not only help communicate differentiation, but also lead to the bettering of service performance.
For the 16 partners in the Intel programme the key objective is to push for brand visibility, and put together plans to offer a service which will give the clients a better understanding of the hardware behind their Intel-based cloud technology.
The programme will include Intel's integrated Cloud Finder online search engine, to facilitate the customers in finding the companies which provide cloud services that have been built on analogous Intel technology.
Revealing that the 16 participating CSPs will be given the `Powered by Intel Cloud Technology' logo which they can attach to relevant cloud services, Alan Priestley - Intel's EMEA director of cloud and big data - said: "We want the service providers to expose to their customers which type of processors and which type of technologies are enabled within the service they are offering, so customers can make a more reasoned decision about what they are going to deploy on those services."
