Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield continues to attract headlines of leading dailies. Recently, Hadfield visited Belfast for the first time. Hadfield, 54, became super-hero when he shared science experiments on space with people on Earth. Not only this, his stint on the International Space Station has encouraged a number of youngsters to consider aeronautics as their career choice.
It was him only who shared messages through Facebook on Earth at the time when he was at the International Space Station. It is said that he has taken around 45,000 pictures from space and many of them have been shared on social media. His first stop in Belfast was the Titanic Visitor Centre. One of the questions that was asked from him there was about how he felt when he walked in space for the first time.
"It's very slightly like, as was portrayed in the movie Titanic, where if you can stand right at the very front and put your hands out", replied Hadfield.
It is very different to see countries and islands from orbit. Talking about Ireland, Hadfield affirmed that the first thing that one sees after crossing Atlantic is Ireland. He said that Ireland from orbit looks like a green jewel.
