Named after the Gran Turismo franchise creator Kazunori Yamauchi, the forthcoming `KAZ: Pushing the Virtual Divide' documentary will reveal historical footage, along with "never before told stories" from experts of the gaming and automotive industries. The documentary has been directed by Tamir Moscovici, and filmed by Anthony Arendt, the cinematographer of Avatar.
The upcoming launch of the documentary marks the 15th anniversary of the Gran Turismo series. The film will, in particular, map out Yamauchi's career --- right from his run as a professional racer to his founding of Polyphony Digital game studio.
According to the KAZ-related details shared by Sony, the documentary film has been directed over a period of one year. The shooting for the film was held at 12 different locations across the world.
The launch of the KAZ documentary via Hulu streaming is apparently a good move, especially given the fact that Hulu is apparently in position to become one of the biggest competitors of Netflix in 2014.
