Charlie Webster Opens up about being sexually abused by her Running Coach ‘to Break Taboo'

Charlie-WebsterLow self-esteem and behavior problems are general problems with children who have faced or witnessed abuse in the home. Often, these children have been sexually abused, severely neglected and have to put efforts to maintain their relationships.
A British sports presenter has come up with a similar story telling about being abused by her running coach.
Sky Sports presenter Charlie Webster, 31 years, has revealed the same because she wanted to 'break the taboo on abuse as a whole' hoping that other sufferers of abuse will also come forward.
Webster said the running coach was her 'male role model' and he started abusing her sexually when she was just 15 years of age. She was getting training from the same man from an age of 11.
Winning a child's trust is very easy and this was what happened with her. Her coach use to tell her that she was very good so he started taking her to private sessions saying that these sessions will prove helpful to her in achieving her goal.
The coach was imprisoned for 10 years after another girl informed the police about the abuse. At present, Webster is in a training for a 250-mile, seven-day run. The aim of this run is to create consciousness for Women's Aid. Also, the charity is aspired to put a stop to sexual abuse against women and children. The run will start on January 26.
